About the Speaker: Dr. James E. Taneti

Dr. James E. Taneti is the Director of the Syngman Rhee Global Mission Center and an Assistant Professor of World Christianity at Union Presbyterian Seminary. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) with past ministry experience in church, classroom, clinical, and correctional settings. Dr. Taneti has a rich educational background, starting with theological studies at the United Theological College in India, followed by a Master’s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Doctoral degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary. He has written extensively on Christianity in South Asia. He resides with his wife Mary, their two children (Vismai and Vismitha), and their furred child, Colt.
